How To: Your Advert On This Blog

We have about 2 Spaces empty on the blog. A spot on the right sidebar, and a spot on the bottom footer.
Honestly, we don’t really have anything to fill them up with, hence we thought why not put up ads. We could very well go for Google Adsense and put their ads and earn a good amount from it, but that’s not what we want.
Their ads are “ugly”, and of variable topics. But, by this method, we can choose “good” ads and place them here, with which real deserving people could benefit.

Here are a few facts about our Blog’s Statistics and a screenshot:

Daily Visits: 5,500 (Approx)
Weekly Visits: 36,000 (Approx)
Views from 11th Jan-11th Feb: 1,63,698 (Exact figure as of 11.2.12, 20:13 pm)

About 61% of our visitors click on external links/pictures (Calculated Approx Figure)

Here’s how ads will go:
Sidebar: Rs 1,000/Week – more views
Footer: Rs 500/Week – comparatively less views
Pay-Per-Click: Rs 50/Click

Details of exchange of payment will be given to those interested only :)

The prices are not negotiable, however if you have any other queries, you may comment here, or email us at, or tweet to us at @AnonAbagnale or @nikunjbhuwalka

How To: Funny Open-Close CD Drive Trick

Another .vbs trick, but this one can be really funny to sit back and watch. It can drive the victim bonkers! I have tried it before, and in a computer lab, and boy it was fun!
This too is pretty simple.

1) Copy the code:

Set oWMP = CreateObject("WMPlayer.OCX.7" )
Set colCDROMs = oWMP.cdromCollection
if colCDROMs.Count >= 1 then
For i = 0 to colCDROMs.Count - 1
Next ' cdrom
For i = 0 to colCDROMs.Count - 1
Next ' cdrom
End If

2) Paste it on Notepad

3) Save it with a .vbs extension. Example: OpenClose.vbs

4) Run it to start

Note: To stop this from happening, press ctrl+alt+del to open the Task Manager. Shift to the “process” tab. Go to wscript.exe and click on end process and it should stop. Also, don’t try this while running a CD in it. Unless its not your computer ;)

How To: Watch Star Wars On Your Computer

Star Wars Logo

Nearly everyone has seen Star Wars. If not seen, then everyone has definitely heard of it!
This trick is to show you how to watch Star Wars on your desktop. Its not something you would want to watch, not the actual movie or proper graphics supported, however its fascinating how advanced technology is.

The “movie” is made up of ASCII Characters, and even if you don’t want to watch it, I would suggest trying it once at least, its something cool to know anyways.

Note: You need Telnet connection, else it won’t work. You can google up Telnet to know more. However, most Computers already have telnet connection before hand so you can go on and try.

Start up “Command Prompt” by opening ‘Start’ -> ‘All Programs’ -> ‘Accessories’
or by typing ‘cmd’ into run.
Once started, you have to type telnet “” and thats it, it will start! Its that simple. :)

How To: Create A Viral Message Box (Prank)

This trick is totally harmless. However if your victims computer is weak – say it runs 256 MB Ram, or has Windows 98 installed, the trick on the victim is sadly a bummer. It’ll ruin his ruined ruins.

What this is?
The code creates message boxes just like the general ones you see on your windows machine, with an “Ok” and “Cancel” option.

What you can do?
Create your own error boxes with your own error messages. Then, use your own imagination and play a prank on your friends. Be evil.

How to do:
Open notepad and paste the following code…
The code-
@echo off
msg * Warning your computer has detected a virus.
msg * To remove the virus click OK or close this box
msg * Your Hard drives are now being formatted
msg * Please wait ………..
msg * 10%
msg * 20%
msg * 30%
msg * 40%
msg * 60%
msg * 80%
msg * 98%
msg * 100%
msg * Computer will shutdown in 10 seconds

You can substitute the messages as per your wish and make it more creative, or dangerous. Probably save it for April Fools too :)
Once you got your message boxes done, you can save the file. This time around, save the file as a BATCH file. You need to add a .bat extention.

Like, fakemessagebox.bat

BTW, somehow this doesn’t work on all computers. This is Windows XP and Vista tested. I haven’t tried it on Windows 7 yet, sorry. :)

And cool trick-
Create a shortcut of the file and hide the original
Right click on shortcut and go to change icon.
You can change the icon to Chrome/Firefox or whatever the victim uses the most. Next time he opens that, BAAM!
